On this page, you will find answers to the most common questions we receive about the Cancer Research KI Annual Retreat at Djurönäset.

📝 Registration & Attendance
The retreat is currently fully booked. However, you can still sign up for the waiting list here! We encourage you to register for the chance to get a spot in the most popular CRKI activity.
The attendance fee is 1,000 SEK (excluding VAT).
This fee includes:
- Accommodation (shared rooms for students)
- All meals during the retreat
- Round-trip bus transport between Stockholm Cityterminalen and Djurönäset
The remaining costs are subsidized by the FoTO PhD program for PhD students and by Cancer Research KI for all other attendees.

To cancel your registration, please send a written notice to CRKIretreat2025@akademikonferens.se
- For unpaid registrations, a SEK 250 cancellation fee applies.
- You may send someone in your place at no extra cost. To do so, email the conference administration office with the following details:
- Your full name
- Full name of your replacement
- Include your replacement in CC
- Include cancerresearchki@ki.se in CC
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to CRKIretreat2025@akademikonferens.se
Please note that a stricter cancellation policy applies. Be sure to read it carefully before proceeding. You can find the full cancellation policy on our website.
Unfortunately, no. Due to fire safety regulations, we cannot exceed the maximum capacity of the room, even for individual sessions.
After being offered a spot at the Retreat by Cancer Research KI, you will receive a second email from the registration platform Invajo with instructions to complete your registration.

Important: You must complete this step in order to be officially admitted to the Retreat.
📄 Abstract Submission & Presentation
No, you do not need to submit an abstract while on the waiting list.
If you are later offered a spot, we will provide instructions on how to submit an abstract, should you wish to do so.
Please note: Abstracts submitted after being offered a spot from the waiting list will not be considered for oral presentations.
If you need to make changes to your abstract, please email the updated version to cancerresearchki@ki.se.
Note: Changes submitted after 31 August 2025 will only be reflected in the digital version of the booklet, as the printed version will already be in production.
If your affiliation is not listed, please select “Other” and enter your affiliation(s) manually in the abstract submission form.
In the abstract submission form, under Question 7, please select “Yes” in response to “Would you like your abstract to be considered for a short oral presentation?”
Participants selected for oral presentations will be contacted by email after the abstract submission deadline.
In the abstract submission form, under Question 7, please select “No” in response to “Would you like your abstract to be considered for a short oral presentation?”
If you have been invited to present a poster, please reply to our email by 31 August 2025 to confirm your participation.
