Swedish Global Health Expert Group
The Swedish Global Health Expert Group brings together senior experts from different sectors to develop a forward-looking assessment of Sweden’s future role in global health. The Group will examine how a rapidly changing global health landscape affects Sweden’s priorities, opportunities and contribution over the coming decade. Its work will inform a Swedish Global Health Expert Report with strategic recommendations for Swedish decision-makers and other actors engaged in global health.

Background and purpose
The purpose of the Swedish Global Health Expert Group is to provide strategic advice and recommendations on how Sweden can strengthen and develop its contribution to global health over the next decade.
Members
The Expert Group consists of senior experts with experience across a wide range of fields. In addition, a broader Reference Group will contribute perspectives and help ensure that relevant issues and viewpoints are considered.
The final report
The group's principal output will be the Swedish Global Health Expert Report, expected to be published in early 2027. A broad reference group will provide input on emerging conclusions and recommendations.

240926: New Swedish expert group to strengthen Sweden’s future role in global health
Karolinska Institutet is leading a new initiative to establish an independent Swedish expert group that will develop strategic recommendations for Sweden’s future engagement in global health. A broader reference group comprising key stakeholders from across society are now gathering in Stockholm to support the work. The findings will be presented in a report in early 2027.
