Research

  • Resarch group leader of:

    CEREBRA - Clinical Enhanced Rehabilitation and Brain Recovery Advancements Research within the group is focused on four main areas. 


    1.    Mechanisms: focusing on injury localization, plasticity and neuromuscular functions and how these are associated and can predict the course of recovery after acquired brain injury 
    2.    Medical technologies: development and testing of new medical technologies for assessment and treatment of motor impairment after acquired brain injury. 
    3.    Treatment: evaluation of the effects of using new clinical methods for the rehabilitation of motor impairments after acquired brain injury. 
    4.    Implementation: communication of results and facilitation of implementation in clinical practice.  
     

Teaching

  • Engages in teaching evidence-based neurorehabilitation at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervises PhD students
