About me

  • I am a post-doc researcher at the Centre for Psychiatry Research, and is affiliated to the Department of Clinical Neuroscience. My research is mainly about behavioral treatments for alcohol use disorders, and specifically controlled drinking as a treatment goal, and comorbid psychiatric conditions such as bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. I am the principal investigator of a pilot study investigating an integrated treatment for eating disorders and alcohol problems.

I am also investigating the effect of having a temporary abstinence period, i.e. a sober month, and its effect on outcomes in treatment for controlled drinking.

Further, I am developing a support program combining relapse prevention for major depressive disorder and discontinuation of antidepressants for individuals who are no longer having depressive symptoms and wish to finalise their antidepressive medication. We are now piloting the program.
