Rachel Ann Da Costa

I am a PhD student at the Aging Research Center, Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS). I am interested in nutrition, dietary assessment, and healthy ageing.

My doctoral project focuses on validating an artificial intelligence (AI)-based dietary assessment tool and implementing it to collect dietary data in a population-based cohort of Swedish older adults. Using these data, we aim to explore emerging dimensions of dietary exposure, including nutritional quality, the degree of food processing, and families of food additives and understand how these dietary dimensions relate to multidimensional health in older adults.
