Research

  • I lead an independent research program in the large-scale epidemiology of dermatological conditions. My research integrates large-scale real-world data with clinical and translational approaches to study risk, comorbidity, and outcomes across inflammatory, autoimmune, and rare skin diseases, with particular interest in methodological rigor, coding validity, and the limitations of administrative data. I combine clinical expertise with population-level analytics to improve how dermatologic disease is measured, interpreted, and translated into evidence.

My research benefits from multiple national and international collaborations, including:

    • National: Karolinska Institutet, Uppsala University, University of Gothenburg
    • European: University of Lübeck, Technical University of Munich, University of Oldenburg, University of Florence
    • International: Columbia University, UCLA, Rush University Medical Center (Chicago)

I actively welcome motivated students, postdocs, and collaborators interested in advancing research in dermatology and epidemiology.
