About me

  • I am a naprapath, specialised in sports medicine and a PhD at MUSIC 
    (Musculoskeletal & Sports Injury Epidemiology Center) at the Institute of
    Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet.

Research

  • My research focus on risk factors and prevention sport injuires in youth athletes. 
    My PhD-projekt was based on the Karolinska Handball Study (KHAST) a 
    prospective cohort study aiming to identify risk factors for shoulder
    injuires in adolescent handball players. 
    In May 2018 we conducted an RCT to evaluate the effect of the two training programmes Shoulder 
    Control (Axelkontroll) and a Knee control (Knäkontroll) on shoulder and knee injury rates(KHAST 
    2.0). From 2019 these programmes has been introduced national-wide at Swedish handball-profiled high schools in Sweden and since 2020 we are conducting a cohort study investigating the shoulder and knee injury rates afte the intriduction of these programmres.

Teaching

  • I regualry teach approximatly 250 hours pers year in the fields of anatomy and pgysiology, sports 
    medicine, biomechanics and scientific methods for undergraduates, master 
    students and doctoral students. In addition
