Marian Papp

I am a meditative movement researcher for complementary treatment for different disorders as primary headache, respiratory conditions as dysfunctional breathing, mental and sleep disorders as well as cancer survivors etc. 
Involved in projects regarding cluster and migraine headaches, cancer related quality of life and fatigue.
I have worked with reserachers at the MAYO clinic evaluating pulmonary rehabilitation programs using mindfulness exercises in combination with health coaching using MI (motivational interviewing). I am also working as supervisor for KISS (Karolinska Institutet summer research school) and supervising students for the thesis.

I got my PhD 2017 in my dissertation I had several interventions using yoga based exercises. I am Internationally certified experienced Yoga teacher, and Yoga therapist International association of yoga therapists (C-IAYT, E-RYT, YACEP) (USA)
I teach classes at Karolinska health hub (Friskvården) and I am a Physical activity on prescription provider (FaR)

My focus is designing and investigating interventions using meditative movements as mindfulness/yoga therapy for differens disorders.

Using both subjective and objective measurement methods

Objective using parameters for cardiovascular health, cardiorespiratory fitness, physical function, respiratory function, dysfunctional breathing and sleep). 
Subjective health parameters using mental health, perceived health as stress and sleep quality.
