About me

  • I am a lecturer at the Study Programme in Nursing and received my doctorate in Psychiatry from Karolinska Institutet in 2012.

Research

  • My research is focused on psychosocial consequences of cancer and HIV,  respectively, suicidality, shame, stigma, borderline personality disorder,
    post-stroke depression, and stress-related ill-health.

Current research includes projects on cognitive functioning after cancer treatment, where we have adapted a web-based neuropsychological test for use in Sweden and have collected Swedish reference data to be able to use the test in current and future studies on cognition in cancer and cancer
    treatment.

Teaching

  • My main subject areas of competence are within psychology, psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, and scientific methods.

I am course director for Nursing in Mental Health and Psychiatry, 12 credits, at the Campus and Distance Nursing Programmes, and for the course Psychiatric and mental health nursing, 15 credits, at the Study Programme in Specialist Nursing. I am also a supervisor and examiner for Degree Projects in Nursing at the Nursing Programme and the Study Programme in Specialist Nursing.
