About me

  • I am the Deputy Head of Unit for Pharmaceutical Preparedness and Logistics and senior investigator at the Public Health Agency of Sweden, and a Special Adviser on AMR (antimicrobial resistance) to the European Regional Office of the World Health Organisation (WHO). AMR is an issue to which I have also devoted a great deal of my career to. Among other things, I served as the Swedish Government's Ambassador on AMR. Furthermore, I defended my PhD thesis on antibiotic resistance in 2006 at Karolinska Institutet. I am a pharmacist by training and have previously held various roles at, among other places, the Public Health Agency of Sweden, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute and Apoteket AB.

Since autumn 2026, I am affiliated to the Centre for Health Crises at Karolinska Institutet (KI), as part of a collaboration that initially focuses on how expert mediation can be improved before and during health crises.
