Research
- I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Neurobiology, Care sciences and Society (NVS) at the Division of Occupational Therapy.
The project I work with is focusing on narratively engaged practices for improving person-centered care for elderly people.
My PhD project was nested in the different stages of the project SMART2D (Self-Management Approach and Reciprocal learning for Type 2 Diabetes). SMART2D was a 5-year multi-country diabetes project based in Sweden, South Africa and Uganda (2015 - 2019). Community-based peer support was introduced in the study sites and community screenings were arranged to detect T2D and prevent the development of diabetes in high-risk groups. The four sub-studies of my PhD project are located in Sweden. The overarching aim is to understand the feasibility of implementing a self-management support intervention in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas in Stockholm.
My main research interest is within qualitative methods, more specifically narrative methodologies.
Teaching
- I have mainly been teaching bachelor students at the Occupational therapy program. In addition, I have been teaching qualitative methods on master's level.
