About me

  • I am a PhD-trained Occupational Therapist specializing in Medical Science, with a research focus on hand function in children and adolescents with cerebral palsy. I currently work as an affiliated part-time lecturer at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS), Division of Occupational Therapy, alongside my clinical role as an occupational therapist at Karolinska University Hospital.

I am dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and clinical practice, and I am committed to advancing knowledge and improving care within both the healthcare sector and society at large.

    Education
    • PhD in Medical Science (2015) – KBH, Karolinska Institutet
    • BSc in Occupational Therapy (2006) – University of Gothenburg

Research

  • Children and adolescents with cerebral palsy or early atypical hand function, including both intervention studies and longitudinal studies.

Adults with post‑COVID, with a focus on work ability, perceived activity performance, and quality of life.

Children and adolescents with acquired brain injuries.

Teaching

  • My pedagogical qualifications are primarily rooted in the undergraduate education of future occupational therapists, where I have been engaged in a variety of teaching assignments over the past ten years.
