Libe Vilela

I am a PhD student in the field of toxicology, with a focus on the occupational exposure to claning- and disinfection-agents. My research particularly focuses on the identification of barrier effects and risk management. 

My research interest arises from the knowledge that the use of cleaning products is not without risk, as they are known to contain several allergenic and irritant ingredients. With the use of different sources of information such as safety data sheets, in vitro skin models, and epidemiological studies, my research aims to probide data for risk assessment and risk management at the workplace for the proper protection of workers.
