About me

  • I am associate professor in emergency healthcare and university lecturer at the Department of clinical science and education, Södersjukhuset (KISÖS) and the emergency clinic at Södersjukhuset. I am deputy head of department and have the role of assistant. head of basic education at KISÖS. As a teacher, course manager and examiner I am active in specialist nursing education within Ambulance healthcare and examiner in Medical care. I appreciate the role I have as supervisor for students at advanced to doctoral level. Two PhD students have doctorate and is now co-supervisor for a doctoral student.

Research

  • Pre-hospital emergency care includes the emergency call center, ambulance and onward to the emergency department. Together, it is a comprehensive operation that handles all conceivable health conditions. The Prio-1 missions (highest priority with blue light and siren) have increased
    significantly during those recent years with 24 per cent/year (population increase of just under 2 per cent/year). A quick and safe assessment at the emergency center, handling in the ambulance and in the emergency department - is very important for the patient's care.

Teaching

  • Within specialist nursing education, I have a role as Head of Orientation for the Ambulance Nursing programme. I am course supervisor and examiner in the courses Scientific theory and method 7.5 credits and Thesis project in nursing 15 credits where I also supervise thesis projects. Also within the Medical Care program I have the same assignment in the Thesis Course 15 credits.
