About me

  • I am a nuclear medicine physicist at Karolinska Institutet. My research focuses on clinical radionuclide therapy and therapy-related imaging, with a penchant for thyroid cancer. I am involved in a range of radionuclide therapy studies.

Most of my time is spent working clinically at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Karolinska University Hospital, Solna. My clinical work consists of seeing patients, administering in- and outpatient radionuclide therapy, performing dosimetry and maintaining a well-functioning radionuclide therapy service. I also lead the clinical physicist group at the department.

    Other professional engagements:
    - Member of the Swedish Radiation Emergency Medicine Centre (KcRN) at Karolinska Institutet, supported by the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare.
    - Member of the Medical Expert Group for Radionuclear Events, at the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare.
    - Member of the working group for Swedish national guidelines for thyroid cancer.

Research

  • Most of my research aims to:

    - Integrate tumour-specific biological data, such as histology, immunohistochemistry and genetics, into patient selection, dosage and evaluation of radionuclide therapy

    - Evaluate new radionuclide therapy agents in clinical trials

    - Improve the use of dosimetry, through clinical implementation and simplification
