About me

  • I am a nuclear medicine physicist at Karolinska Institutet. My research focuses on clinical radionuclide therapy and therapy-related imaging, with a penchant for thyroid cancer. I defended my PhD thesis "Avidity-guided Radionuclide Therapy for Thyroid Cancer" at Karolinska Institutet in 2022. Since then I am involved in a range of radionuclide therapy studies, both academic and industry sponsored.

  • I also work clinically at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Karolinska University Hospital, Solna. My clinical work consists of seeing patients, administering in- and outpatient radionuclide therapy, performing dosimetry and maintaining a well-functioning radionuclide therapy service. I also lead the clinical physicist group at the department.

    Other professional engagements:
    - Member of the Swedish Radiation Emergency Medicine Centre (KcRN) at Karolinska Institutet, supported by the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare.
    - Member of the Medical Expert Group for Radionuclear Events, at the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare.
    - Member of the working group for Swedish national guidelines for thyroid cancer.

Research

  • Most of my research aims to:

  • - Integrate other biological data, such as histology, immunohistochemistry and genetics, into patient selection, dosage and evaluation of radionuclide therapy

    - Evaluate new radionuclide therapy agents in clinical trials

    - Increase the clinical use of dosimetry, through simplification and linking doses to clinically meaningful predictions
