About me
I'm a phD student working on decoding the vascular dysfunction in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is a devastating neurodegenerative disease with no curative therapies.
Research
My current research projects are mostly based on the original discovery from our group (Månberg A, et al. Nature Medicine. 2021), that perivascular fibroblast (PVF) activation proceeds disease onset and contributes to disease progression in ALS. I'm working to elucidate the possible mechanisms underlying PVF pathology in ALS, and to explore several ways to target PVF and related chemokines in treating the disease. Besides, I also look into other cell types during the arteriole dysfunction in ALS.
