Hyemi Park

I am a doctoral student at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet.

My doctoral research examines whether current guidelines for gestational weight gain and fetal and neonatal growth references are equally valid for migrant and Swedish-born women and their children. Using nationwide Swedish register data, I evaluate how well these clinical tools predict maternal, neonatal, and childhood outcomes across different population groups.

My broader research interests include perinatal and migration health, register-based epidemiology, predictive modelling, and the development of equitable clinical tools for diverse populations.
