Helena Brodin
About me
I am an educational developer at the Unit for Teaching and Learning, where I specialise in workplace-based learning. My background is in occupational therapy, and during my 10 years as a practitioner, I was deeply committed to supporting learning in clinical settings.
After earning my master’s degree, I joined the Occupational Therapy Programme at Karolinska Institutet, where I was responsible for coordinating all OT students’ clinical placements and fieldwork learning, alongside teaching on campus. This experience gave me valuable insight into students’ learning processes.
Later, I shifted my focus to the learning and development of supervisors by joining the Unit for Teaching and Learning. Today, I teach in courses such as Stepping Stones and Högskolepedagogik för lärare och handledare i verksamhetsförlagd utbildning.
In addition to teaching, I lead workshops for supervisors and participate in various projects, often in collaboration with Region Stockholm and other educational institutions.
I am always happy to discuss workplace-based learning, share ideas, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Feel free to contact me!
