About me

I am a health economist and defended my doctoral thesis in December 2020 at Karolinska Institutet. My dissertation, titled “The Burden of Back Pain: Evaluation of Costs and Health Outcomes”, focused on analyzing costs and health outcomes related to back pain. After completing my doctoral studies, I now hold the position of Postdoc in the Pain Neuroimaging Lab research group at Karolinska Institutet.

Research Focus: My postdoc work centers around pain and pain mechanisms. In the PrePain project, we investigate how chronic pain arises by linking brain imaging data with national registries. I am also involved in research projects related to the cost-effectiveness of various pain treatments, costs associated with suicide and mental health, and placebo research.
