About me

  • I hold a PhD in Environmental Science, specializing in analytical chemistry, from Lund University. My doctoral research focused on developing sample preparation methods for extracting analgesic drugs (NSAIDs) from wastewater and sludge.

From 2016 to 2020, I worked as an environmental hygienist at the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in Lund, where I was also active as a researcher. As part of my clinical research, I studied the general population's exposure to elevated levels of lead and cadmium—linked to local geology—via drinking water from private wells. At Lund University, my primary research area was human biomonitoring, aimed at mapping and studying temporal trends in the general population's exposure to organic environmental pollutants. Since then, I have worked on occupational health and safety issues—as a specialist, consultant, and trainer in both the industrial and public sectors—with chemical workplace hazards as my field of speciality.

Today, I work as an occupational hygienist at the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (CAMM) in Region Stockholm, focusing on respirator fit testing, which is also my primary area of research.

Research

  • Occupational exposure to chemical agents.

Use and fit testing of respirators in the work enviroment.
