About me

  • I am a senior consultant in orthopaedic surgery at Danderyd Hospital and aPost doctoral researcher with a particular interest in hand and wrist injuries and sustainable healthcare. I obtained her PhD from Karolinska Institutet in 2024, with a doctoral thesis on surgical versus non-surgical treatment of proximal hamstring avulsions.

Following my PhD, I have established an independent research line and founded the Danderyd Wrist and Hand INitiative (D-WHIN), focusing on improving the management of common orthopaedic conditions through clinically relevant research combined with analyses of cost-effectiveness and environmental impact. I have been awarded several research grants and a postdoctoral position within Region Stockholm.

In addition to my research activities, I am actively involved in medical education and supervision and participates in international academic collaborations. My work aims to promote evidence-based, patient-centred, and sustainable orthopaedic care.
