I initially trained as a biochemist, and I transitioned to immunology for my doctoral studies, where I developed my core focus: understanding immune cell dysfunction in disease. I center my thoughts around the question: how do pro-inflammatory environments reprogram immune cells? Starting at the epigenetic level, I study how these changes drive immune cells toward pathological states.
