Benjamin Bohman

Benjamin Bohman is an adjunct senior lecturer and associate professor of clinical psychology, a licensed psychologist, and licensed psychotherapist. He works as a teacher and researcher at the Centre for Psychiatry Research, a joint collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and Region Stockholm. Bohman teaches at several study programs and courses, including the study program in psychotherapy, the specialist program for psychologists in adult psychiatric services, and the basic course in cognitive-behavioral therapy for resident physicians specializing in psychiatry. His research focuses on cognitive-behavioral therapy and metacognitive therapy for various psychiatric disorders in primary and psychiatric care settings, particularly transdiagnostic treatment of anxiety disorders. Bohman also conducts research on quality assessment of psychological treatment and psychiatric services. He has served as the main supervisor of Elinor Eskilsson Strålin and Hillevi Bergvall, both earning their PhD in 2025. At present, Bohman is the main supervisor of PhD student Nathalie Petersén.
