Anja Mrhar

I am a research assistant and a PhD student in Bioscience - Nutrition at the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana. From 2021 I hold a Master’s Degree in Nutrition Science obtained from the same faculty. My current work involves close collaboration with the Neurology Clinic at the University Medical Center Ljubljana. Together, we engage in several projects and research focusing on the relationship between diet, cognitive decline and dementia.

I hold the position of visiting researcher in Davide Liborio Vetrano's research 

My primary research focus is on investigating the relationship between diet and cognitive decline by looking at dietary patterns, foods, nutrients and determinants of eating behavior. Although the research interest is primarily based on observational studies, my aim is to strengthen the investigations by combining longitudinal studies, biomarkers and observation of potential confounders, and to address specific research questions from a multidisciplinary perspective.
