About me
I am a specialist nurse in cardiac care with primary experience in acute care. I have mainly worked with adult and older patient populations.
Clinical conditions I am particularly interested in include acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, delirium, and sepsis.
Since the autumn of 2025, I have been a doctoral student at Karolinska Institutet and affiliated with the Research School in Health Science (FiH).
I am part of Professor Ulrica Nilsson’s research group, PeriBrainCare. My doctoral project focuses on developing and evaluating whether a health intervention can improve cognitive recovery in older adults who have undergone cardiac surgery, as well as support their next of kin.
I am currently working on designing the intervention, which is based on previous studies on postoperative recovery from PeriBrainCare and on co‑creative workshops with key stakeholders. I hope that my research can lead to an intervention that is effective, tailored to the needs of older patients, and capable of supporting both patients and their families in postoperative cognitive recovery.
