WHO Collaborating Centres located at Karolinska Institutet

WHO Collaborating Centres are institutions which are designated by the Director-General to conduct activities in support of the organisation's programmes. KI hosts four Collaborating Centres.

WHO collaborating centre forms part of an international collaborative network set up by WHO in support of its programme at the national, international, regional, inter-regional or global levels. In accordance with WHO policy and the technical cooperation strategy, a WHO collaborating centre participates in strengthening of country resources, regarding information, services, research and training, in support of national health development..

WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training on Health Care and Public Health in Disasters

This collaborating centre, within the Department of Global Public Health at KI , is directed by Prof. Johan von Schreeb and Anneli Eriksson, from the research group Global Disaster Medicine – Health Needs and Response. Visit their web page to find out more about the work they do.

This collaborating centered, located at the department of Women's and Children's Health, is directed by Annette Aronsson

WHO Collaborating Centre for Research, Methods Development and Training in Suicide Prevention

The National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention of Mental Ill-Health (NASP) belongs to the Depatment of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME). The centre is directed by Prof. Danuta Wasserman. Follow their ongoing work and lates updates at the NASP website
