Exhibition series on human behaviour

In 2025, the first of three parts in an exhibition series opened at The Cell: Me, You & We – Exploring Human Behaviour. Here, art and research come together in a shared exploration of current social issues related to human behaviour.

In the first section, "Me", works by Lene Marie Fossen, Francesco Albano and Teresa Wennberg were shown in dialogue with research from KI. The focus was on the self – the individual human being. Through three artistic practices with different forms of expression, techniques and periods, a shared narrative emerged about identity, vulnerability and self-image. The works explore how our behaviours are shaped by internal and external forces – biological, social and cultural.

On 22 January 2026, “You”, the second part of The Cell’s exhibition series on human behaviour, opened. Here, the focus shifts from the individual to relationships, exploring how our behaviour is shaped through encounters with others in a contemporary world marked by stress and rapid technological change. “You” brings together works by Gabriel Fontana, Elisabeth Ohlson and Lars Brunström – artists who, in different ways, place the visitor at the heart of the relationship, both as observer and participant.

The final part of the exhibition series "We", which opened on 31 August 2026, explores how people function together in groups and communities. Through artworks and researchers’ comments, the exhibition highlights the choices we make collectively and how they shape our future. The artists behind the works are Charlotta Grunewald, Lars Brunström, Halvman and Gabriel Fontana.

The entire ‘Me, You, We’ exhibition series runs until January 2027. More information about the exhibition (in Swedish).
