Forskningsfokus

Neuroepidemiologi och hälso- och sjukvårdsforskning är ett tvärvetenskapligt forskningsområde. Vår forskning syftar till att bidra till bättre hälsa såväl hos personer med neurologiska funktionshinder som hos deras närstående.

Forskningen omfattar studier av samband mellan neurologisk sjukdom/skada och hälsa, funktion, aktivitet och delaktighet i samhällslivet hos individer och deras närstående. Även hälso- och sjukvårdsinsatser studeras, både ur ett individ-, grupp- och ett samhällsperspektiv, samt insatsernas relation till effektivitet och kostnad. Inom forskargruppen studeras även behov av hälso- och sjukvårdsinsatser, hos personer med neurologiska funktionshinder och deras närstående, samt utnyttjande av dessa insatser och tillfredsställelse med vården.

Området har stor bredd och variation vad gäller såväl innehåll som vetenskaplig metodik och omfattar både observationsstudier och behandlingsstudier.
