Proteomics Biomedicum Core Facility - user guidelines
The services of the Proteomics Biomedicum Core Facility are booked via iLab. A number of guidelines have been introduced to get access to the core facility.
Operating guidelines
After discussion, but before submission of samples, the client/customer is kindly requested to provide a brief description of the project. The client/customer can choose between different levels of services.
Contract (service) analysis to acquire and deliver research data
Please note that:
- No data analysis or interpretation will be provided by the core facility
- Archiving and public access is the client/customer’s responsibility
- No intellectual property will be retained by the facility
- No authorship demand by facility
- User fee will be applied
Collaborative analysis
Please note that:
- Experimental design and analytical method development are offered by the facility to ensure the best possible results.
- Data analysis and interpretation will be provided by the core facility
- Archiving and public access will be provided by the core facility
- Intellectual property & authorship will be shared
- User fee will be applied

Collaborative research
We are happy to engage in collaborative research, when the facility is part of a grant application with other collaborators, and develop new analytical methods applicable to the collaborators' analytical problem.
Access to LC-MS/MS instrumentation
Qualified personnel can get access to LC-MS/MS instrumentation for a service fee consisting of a start-up charge or SEK 3,000. Additionally, an hourly charge per every booked consecutive hour (4 hours minimum).
No IP will be retained by the core facility.
The custody of the produced data files will be the client's responsibility, with the obligation to archive them and eventually make them publicly available according to the Swedish law and KI regulations.
