About me
- MD, PhD
I used to be a physician and now a postdoctoral researcher focusing on
epidemiology and statistics.
PhD in Medical Science, Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery,
Karolinska Institutet
MD (Medical Degree with a medical doctor license) in Clinical Medicine,
Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University
In addition, I have got trained in psychology and have psychological
counselor license.
Research
- *Psychiatric comorbidity *
I am interested in examining the familial coaggregation of
psychiatric comorbidity and the association between psychiatric disorders
and somatic diseases using Swedish population-based registers and Swedish
Twin Register.
*Recovery after cancer surgery*
I am interested in improving health related quality of life, symptom
management, and survival after thoracic (esophageal and lung) cancer surgery
using patient-reported outcome data and register-based data.
*Methods used in my research*
My research uses diverse study designs including family study, twin study,
longitudinal study with repeated measures, randomized controlled trial, and
qualitative study. I am familial with several advanced statistical methods
such as multilevel data analysis (e.g., mixed effects model, fixed effects
regression model, and latent growth curve model), survival analysis, factor
analysis, structural equation modeling, familial co-aggregation analysis,
twin analysis, etc. I am good at statistical software STATA, R, and Mplus,
but also have experience in using SAS and SPSS.
