Volen Ivanov

Lic. Psychologist and associate professor. I work as a quality managing psychologist
at Psykiatri Sydväst and conduct research at Psykiatri Sydväst through the
research group Rück Lab at Karolinska Institutet.

My research focus is on the development, evaluation and implementation of
psychological treatment for disorders often referred to as /OCD and related
disorders./ The disorders I am especially interested in include hoarding
disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania (hair pulling
disorder), skin picking disorder, olfactory reference
syndrome, /Tourette/ syndrome/chronic tic disorder and severe health
anxiety.

I am the principal supervisor for the PhD students Susanna Österman and Sofia Jägholm.

My research is funded by the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte), ALF, CIMED, and the Stiftlesen Söderström-Königska sjukhemmet.

I teach psychotherapy at the Occupational Therapist Programme at Karolinska
Institutet.
