About me
- I hold a PhD in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet and currently work as a Coordinator at the External Engagement Office (EEO) at KI. My work focuses on providing career support and guidance on research careers and career development for early‑career researchers, with a particular emphasis on career support for doctoral students.
My current role includes some of the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Provide individual career guidance to doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers
- Coordinate career support initiatives for early‑career researchers
- Act as the primary contact person between the Doctoral Student Association (DSA) and KI Career Service
- Organize career coaching sessions for doctoral students
- Manage the KI Research Blog
- Serve as webmaster editor of ki.se
- Edit and write the monthly Career Newsletter, which provides information on research careers across different sectors. The newsletter is sent monthly and primarily targets doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers at Karolinska Institutet.
- Represent KI as a delegate in Euraxess and contribute to national and European initiatives related to researcher career development and policy.
Selected roles and assignments- Since June 2025: KI Contact Person and administrator for the HR Excellence Research Award.
- 2024–2025: Swedish Member State Delegate and KI contributor to the European Commission’s Mutual Learning Exercise (MLE) on Research Careers under Horizon Europe, including hosting the official MLE Country Visit to Sweden and contributing to EU‑level discussions on researcher recruitment, career development, mobility, and policy frameworks aligned with the European Charter for Researchers.
- 2023–2024: Project team member in the Vinnova‑funded project Supporting international junior researchers’ career opportunities outside academia (Euraxess Sweden/Linköping University), co‑responsible for Work Package 1 representing KI.
Teaching
Responsible for leading and organizing the doctoral course career skills for scientists. The course is co-organized in close collaboration with the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME).

Conference/event participation
- Expert panel, Dissemination event of the Mutual Learning Exercise on research careers, The dissemination event presented the final conclusions of the Policy Support Facility (PSF) Mutual Learning Exercise (MLE) on Research Careers. This project, initiated in 2024 and concluded in 2025, was led by the European Commission under Action 4 of the European Research Area (ERA) Policy Agenda 2022–2024 and involved 16 Member States.
