Tor Björgen

Tor is a machine learning engineer with a decade's hands-on experience in building medical grade software and embedded systems for medical- and health tech applications.

He's main interests are within the field of mathematical programming, machine learning as well as embedded electronics, MEMS and microfluidic sensor systems development and characterization.

He has previous experience with the innovative Stockholm life science start-up scene targeting precision health tech applications.

Employed by Karolinska Institutet (KI), at the Department of Clinical Genomics, Scilifelab, he's currently acting technical lead in implementing data driven and machine learning enabled decision support systems for rare disease diagnostics. He's also affiliated with Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset, Genomic Medicine Center Karolinska (GMCK).

Tor holds a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH).
