Thaís Lopes de Oliveira
About me
I am an epidemiologist working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. I have a Master’s degree (2015 - 2017) and Ph.D. in Public Health Epidemiology (2017 – 2021). Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Research
My research focuses on various aspects of functional aging, including sensory functioning, lung function, gait, grip strength, cognitive function, and frailty. My primary ongoing project concerns the role of different pharmacological subgroups in functional biological aging over time. Other research projects explore the relationship between protein epigenetic scores and cognitive function, as well as the impact of lifestyle on functional aging from a life course perspective.
