Seohyun Kim

I am a postdoctoral researcher in psychiatric epidemiology with a focus on the intersection between psychiatry and chronic diseases. My research aims to understand how psychiatirc intervention or mental burden influence the onset, progression, and prognosis of chronic conditions—particularly diabetes and cardiometabolic diseases—using large-scale registry data and causal inference methods. I am particularly interested in investigating the bidirectional relationships between psychiatric conditions and chronic physical illnesses, with the goal of informing more integrated approaches to clinical care and public health.
