About me
Ondrej Zika is an Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology, University College Dublin, and an affiliate scientist at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet (Kristoffer Månsson lab).
At KI, Ondrej leads a number of projects investigating neural and computational mechanisms that underlie and predict changes in internalizing psychopathology.
At UCD, Ondrej leads the Uncertain Mind (UMI) lab which focuses on understanding how humans learn, conceptualize and internally represent information under uncertainty, and how these mechanisms are impacted by mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression or eating disorders. Ondrej uses computational cognitive modelling to characterize cognitive processes in conjunction with neural (EEG/MRI) and physiological (SCR/pupil/eye-tracking) data. The group is particularly focused on developing novel frontiers in mental health research, such as the use of games, wearable devices and longitudinal tracking.
