About me
I completed my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Aalto University, Finland, where I investigated the dynamics of empathy in the brain using neuroimaging techniques such as MEG, fMRI, and MRI. Prior to my PhD, I worked as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) developer at Valossa Labs, focusing on projects in image processing and machine/deep learning. In June 2024, I joined the "Neurodegenerative Diseases and Aging - Daniel Ferreira Research Group" as a postdoctoral researcher, where I am exploring innovative approaches for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia, using AI/ML and neuroimaging.
PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience (2020-2024): Aalto University, Finland,
Thesis title: Empathy Dynamics: A Neuroscientific Perspective
MSc (technology) in Biomedical Engineering, Signal and Image Processing (2014-2016): University of Oulu, Finland
BSc in Electrical Engineering, electronics (2009-2013): Shiraz University of Technology, Iran
Research
My research lies at the intersection of neuroscience, neuroimaging, technology, and clinical applications, driven by a deep curiosity about the complexities of the human brain. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches that combine cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, and artificial intelligence to tackle key questions related to brain disorders and diseases.
