Research description

I study aging from a life course perspective, focusing on lifestyle and socioeconomic factors. My ongoing research mainly concerns alcohol consumption in the older population and how drinking habits are affected by the transition to retirement. Other research interests are differential vulnerability and the association between lifestyle factors and health in different socioeconomic groups, as well as how different cohorts of older individuals differ with regard to lifestyle factors and other living conditions.
