About me

  • I work as a Coordinator at the Faculty Office Research, Professional Services,  at Karolinska Institutet, with a focus on research strategy. In this role, I have been responsible for coordinating KI’s contributions to the Swedish Research Council’s national evaluation of medical research, conducted during 2024/2025.

In addition, I am a member of the editorial teams for both KI News and External Monitoring, where I cover and analyze research policy and research-related developments.

I have a solid background in biomedical research, having held postdoctoral positions at universities in Oxford, Edinburgh, and Copenhagen, where I led several research projects across different research centers. I earned my PhD in stem cell biology from Lund University in 2007 and hold an MSc in Chemical Engineering from Lund Institute of Technology (2003).

Alongside my research career, I also have extensive experience in developing research support structures, having led and coordinated several large-scale projects aimed at strengthening research environments and support systems, including efforts to increase research funding.
