About me

  • Dr. Muhammad Faisal is a postdoctoral research fellow specializing in the rational design, synthesis, and characterization of advanced drug delivery systems with a primary focus on lipid-based nanocarriers. He earned his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), affiliated with University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea, where he developed ionizable and helper lipids for lipid nanoparticle (LNP)–mediated mRNA delivery, leading to multiple high-impact publications and patents.

With over nine years of research experience, Dr. Faisal’s expertise spans advanced synthetic chemistry, nanoparticle formulation, in vitro and in vivo evaluations, molecular modeling, and translational drug delivery research. His work has resulted in 18 original research papers, 6 patents (3 granted), 24 review articles, and 12 book chapters, alongside international collaborations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

Currently, his research focuses on intranasal, liposome-based delivery of therapeutic proteins as a novel, non-invasive strategy for Alzheimer’s disease, integrating nanotechnology, protein engineering, and neurobiology to develop clinically translatable therapeutics.
