Maya Petrén

 

I work as a central environmental coordinator at KI and coordinator for the President’s Council for environment and sustainable development. 

Together with my colleague, Lilia Daianova, I lead and develop KI’s systematic environmental work in line with both external requirements and internal goals. According to the Swedish Environmental Management Ordinance, this includes for example monitoring and reporting KI’s progress as well as conducting internal environmental audits.

 

Our work also focuses on increasing knowledge and engagement within KI and supporting the integration of sustainable development into the university’s operations.

 

We coordinate the network of environmental and sustainability representatives at the departments and provide support in their assignments.

 

In addition, I am responsible for developing and updating KI’s internal web pages with information on environment and sustainable development.

 

Everything we do aims to help KI achieve its environmental targets and reduce our negative environmental impact.
