Mattia Malvisi

I am an Erasmus+ Trainee at Karolinska Institutet, currently working in Prof. Per Svenningsson's research group. I have a strong academic background in Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences. Prior to joining KI, my thesis project at the Biomolecular and Pharmacological Sciences Department at the University of Milan focused on the molecular mechanisms of inflammation, utilizing cell culture and molecular biology techniques to highlight selective HDAC3 inhibition as a promising therapeutic target. I have built a solid and autonomous technical foundation in laboratory operations; however, my primary goal at KI is to embrace new challenges, refine my skills and step out of my comfort zone while absorbing as much knowledge as possible to elevate my research capabilities in such an highly stimulating environment.
