About me

Postdoctoral fellow in Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, Institute of Environmental Medicine, Unit of Metals and Health.

Research

As a postdoctoral researcher and epidemiologist, my research is focused on advancing our understanding of how early-life exposure to environmental pollutants impacts child health and development. Within our research group, we study the role of various toxic elements (e.g., arsenic, cadmium, fluoride, lead), essential trace elements (e.g., selenium and iodine), and their potential interactions in relation to child health and development. This is achieved by integrating epidemiological data and mechanistic studies within several different mother-child cohorts.
