Malin Idar Wallin
About me
I am a PhD student at Karolinska Institutet within the field of transcultural psychiatry and intercultural communication. I also take a special interest in research within inflammation, stress, cardiovascular disease and depression, as well as in cultural dimensions of communication and healthcare meetings. Quantitative as well as qualitative methods are applied in my research, and my PhD project include an RCT in a Swedish outpatient care context.
Research
Through my role as a lecturer at the Transcultural Centre, a knowledge within Region Stockholm, I have gained a profound experience in teaching. I have employed active learning educational practices for a wide range of healthcare professionals, aiming to increase their competence in transcultural healthcare meetings.
