About me

  • I am a postdoc focusing on public health and epidemiological aspects of urology. I am also a medical doctor/leg läkare currently working in Emergency Medicine.

My PhD was about long-term outcomes of the congenital condition hypospadias, using both epidemiological and qualitative methods. We looked at a range of long-term outcomes using national Swedish registers including fertility, cardiovascular disease and other androgen-related comorbidities, and urological cancer. Our studies on androgen-related disease and urological cancer one second prize for clinical abstract at the European Society for Paediatric Urology Congress in 2023 and 2024 respectively. The two qualitative studies focused on the personal experience of living with hypospadias, resulting in new recommendations for hypospadias care.

  • I am currently working on a few studies in paediatric urology while primarily transitioning to research on prostate cancer testing together with Associate Professor Anna Lantz.
