Linnéa Soldén Lindström

My doctoral research focuses on evaluating the effects of training with AI-based virtual patients on healthcare professionals’ competence in cultural psychiatry within psychiatric care.

I am a registered nurse and have worked at the Transcultural Centre in the recent years, providing continuing professional education for healthcare professionals in Region Stockholm, particularly in the areas of cultural competence, migration and health.

As part of the educational intervention, I coordinate the development of virtual patients in collaboration with colleagues at the Transcultural Centre.

I have a particular interest in how continuing professional education can support healthcare professionals’ ongoing development of knowledge, reflection and awareness and how these, in turn, can influence patient interactions and promote more equitable healthcare. I am also interested in how such changes can be monitored and evaluated over time.
