About me

  • I am a district nurse with 15 years experience from primary health care. Between 2019 to 2024, I was employed as head of a two units including at Academic Primary Health Care Centre in Region Stockholm. Since 2024, I am retired from Region Stockholm.

Research

  • My research interest is on qualitative research and/or different aspects of nursing in primary health care. In my PhD I developed a questionnaire (TTQ) to assess factors influence quit attempts in smoking among patients with COPD.

Teaching

  • During the years, my educational activities has varied. I have been supervisor to bachelor students and one-year master students. Today I am main supervisor for a doctoral student, and I has been co-supervisor for a student that did her dissertation in 2021.
    During the years I have been teaching nursing students and specialist nursing students. Since 2019, I am manager for a course (7.5 credits) at Executive and Professional Education, KI. I am both course director and examinator for the course Tobacco prevention and tobacco cessation in health care 7.5 credits .
    My teaching areas are lifestyle habits, focusing particularly on smoking and nicotine cessation but also issues in nursing care, such as older adults and health prevention and promotion. Additionally, I also supervise in qualitative methods.
