About me
I am a specialist physician in obstetrics and gynecology at the Department of Women’s Health at Danderyd Hospital, based in the obstetrics section. Parallel to my clinical work, I am a doctoral student at Karolinska Institutet (KI DS), having been admitted in December 2025. My research focuses on the link between preeclampsia and long-term cardiovascular outcomes.
Research
I am a specialist physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Danderyd Hospital, with a primary clinical focus on obstetrics. Parallel to my clinical work, I am a doctoral student at Karolinska Institutet.
My research focuses on the acute and long-term cardiovascular effects of preeclampsia. The project is translational and comprises three parts: a clinical trial evaluating dietary nitrate (beetroot juice) to improve vascular function during ongoing pregnancy, experimental studies on how circulating factors in the blood affect myocardial function, and a long-term follow-up to identify biomarkers that can predict future cardiovascular disease in affected women.
In addition to my own doctoral project, I serve as the local Principal Investigator (local PI) for the PI4 trial, a multi-center study evaluating metformin as a treatment for preeclampsia.
