About me

  • I am an MRI physicist at Karolinska University Hospital and a researcher at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet. I received my PhD in medical science from Karolinska Institutet in 2020.

My research focuses on the development of MRI acquisition and reconstruction methods, particularly for efficient and clinically applicable neuroimaging.

My PhD thesis is available here

Research

  • My research focuses on MRI pulse-sequence development and image reconstruction, with an emphasis on reducing acquisition time while maintaining clinically relevant image quality.

My research focuses on making MRI examinations faster and more efficient. I develop new ways of acquiring images that make better use of the available scan time, including methods for collecting complementary image contrasts simultaneously. The goal is to obtain the diagnostic information needed in less time, making MRI examinations more efficient for both patients and healthcare.

Previous work includes fat/water-separated RARE and PROPELLER imaging, motion-robust MRI, rapid EPI-based imaging, and prospective motion correction.

Teaching

  • I teach MRI physics and pulse-sequence design, with a particular focus on how image contrast and acquisition strategies arise from the underlying MR physics.

My teaching includes courses for physics students, radiographers, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals at Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital.
