About me

  • Originally from the south of Sweden, Filip moved to the north to pursue his PhD in cognitive neuroscience at Umeå center for Functional Brain Imaging under the supervision of Anna Rieckmann and Lars Nyberg. In his PhD Filip investigated how dopamine release in the human striatum is related to reinforcement learning using hybrid PET/MR brain imaging and computational modelling of behavior.

In 2022, Filip joined the Donders Institute in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, as a joint postdoc in the labs of Roshan Cools and Rick Helmich to study how pharmacological manipulation of the dopamine system in Parkinson’s patients affect their cognition.

In 2025 Filip joined ARC at the Karolinska Intitute as a postdoc in the lab of Alireza Salami to investigate the neurochamical basis of aging trough multimodal brain imaging of the dopamine system in collaboration with Turku PET Center.

Research

  • Dopamine, Aging, Parkinson's Disease, multi modal brain imaging, PET, MRI.
